Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
  • Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania.

  • Transfer to your hotel in Arusha, where you'll have a pre-climb briefing with your tour operator.

  • Rest and prepare for the climb.

Day 2: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp
  • After breakfast, drive to the Londorossi Gate, where you'll complete the necessary registration formalities.

  • Begin your trek through the lush rainforest.

  • Reach Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 meters/8,694 feet) for overnight camping.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
  • Trek through the heath and moorland zone.

  • Ascend to Shira 1 Camp (3,505 meters/11,499 feet) for overnight camping.

  • Enjoy panoramic views of the Shira Plateau.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Moir Camp
  • Continue trekking across the Shira Plateau.

  • Reach Moir Camp (4,200 meters/13,780 feet) for overnight camping.

  • An acclimatization hike to the Lent Hills can be done in the afternoon.

Day 5: Moir Camp to Barranco Camp

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

  • Rest and prepare for the summit attempt.

  • An acclimatization hike can be done in the afternoon.

Day 8: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Mweka Camp
  • Start the summit attempt around midnight.

  • Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters/10,170 feet) for overnight camping.

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

  • Transfer back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha for a well-deserved celebration and rest.
