Day 1: Fly from Zanzibar then Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure kicks off today! You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and driven to the airport. A short one-hour flight in a small plane will take you to Arusha, where your guide will greet you at the airport. From there, it’s a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its impressive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, among the largest in Africa. As you travel through the park in an open-roof vehicle, you’ll witness seasonal swamps, savannas, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. Expect to see a variety of birds, giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and elephants.

Later in the day, you’ll arrive at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire To Ngorongoro Crater then Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast, embark on a journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtaking natural marvel. This area hosts over 120 animal species, including the iconic Big Five. It's an excellent spot to observe the rare black rhino grazing in solitude and numerous hippos lounging in the water.

From your open vehicle, you'll have the chance to view and photograph some of Africa's most renowned wildlife. The crater teems with predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, along with large populations of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, Cape buffalo, and more. It stands as one of Africa's premier safari destinations.

After an exhilarating day, savor a picnic lunch by the park's famous hippo pool. You'll then head back to Arusha. At an extra cost, you can arrange accommodation in Arusha or a transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for a return flight to Zanzibar.
